Novak Djokovic Makes Paris Masters History at 39 with Record Breaking Victory

Serbian tennis star Novak Djokovic has become the oldest player to win a match in Paris Masters history at the age of 39, following a comeback victory against Monaco’s Valentin Vacherot.

The seven-time Paris Masters champion recovered from a set down to win 6–7 (5), 7–5, 6–1 in a match lasting two hours and 35 minutes.

According to the ATP Tour’s official post on X, Djokovic’s achievement marked a new age record at the tournament. The official account celebrated his performance following the victory.

Djokovic also received medical treatment for a shoulder problem during the match but managed to secure his place in the second round.

He will next face Australia’s Rinky Hijikata as he continues his campaign in Paris and his pursuit of qualification for the ATP Finals.
