Norway Contributes $2.6 Million to UN Afghanistan Trust Fund
Bareen Media – Norway has contributed $2.6 million to the United Nations Special Trust Fund for Afghanistan (UN STFA), supporting ongoing international efforts to address key needs across the country.
The fund said the contribution will strengthen coordination and cooperation among UN agencies working in Afghanistan and support shared priorities.
UN STFA welcomed the new funding and thanked Norway for its continued support. The fund said such contributions help UN agencies maintain and expand assistance and services for people in Afghanistan.
The latest contribution comes as UN agencies continue to provide humanitarian and other essential support to communities facing economic and social pressures across the country.
The fund said continued international financial support remains important for helping UN organisations respond to Afghanistan’s needs and coordinate their work more effectively.
