Taliban Shutdown of Shia Institutions in Kabul Raises Alarm

Bareen Media – Sources say Taliban authorities have closed several religious, cultural, and health institutions serving the Shia community in western Kabul, including the Fatima al-Zahra Clinic, Tebyan Cultural Center, and Resalat Seminary.

The closures come amid wider restrictions affecting Shiite educational and religious institutions in the capital. The reasons for the latest closures have not been publicly explained.

The shutdown of Khatam al-Nabieen University has also left students facing difficulties over transferring academic credits, tuition costs, and continuing their studies elsewhere.

Sources say the latest measures have increased concerns among members of the Shiite community over access to education, healthcare and religious institutions.
