Iranian Diplomat Warns of Severe Response to Any New Attack From Regional Territory
Bareen Media – Nasser Asadi, an Iranian diplomat at the United Nations, has warned that any new attack on Iran launched from the territory of regional countries would face Tehran’s “strongest response.”
Asadi said that under international law, countries that knowingly allow their territory to be used to attack another state could face legal consequences.
He also claimed that missiles used to strike a primary school in Minab and a sports complex in Lamerd, Iran, were launched from the territory of neighbouring countries. The claim has not been independently verified.
Asadi described Iran’s attacks on U.S. military infrastructure as part of what Tehran considers its “inherent right of self-defence.”
His remarks came amid continuing tensions involving Iran, the United States and countries in the region.
