UN-Habitat to Create Livelihood Opportunities for 2,000 People in Bamyan
The United Nations Human Settlements Programme (UN-Habitat) says its “Opportunities” programme will provide cash-for-work opportunities for around 2,000 people in Bamyan province.
UN-Habitat said in a post on its official X account that the programme is being implemented with support from the United Nations Special Trust Fund for Afghanistan (UN STFA).
The programme aims to improve local communities while providing temporary income opportunities through work in exchange for daily wages.
Around 2,000 people are expected to participate in the programme and receive daily payments for their work.
UN-Habitat said the initiative will both support community development and provide a source of income for families in Bamyan.
