Peaceful Protest Outside UN Headquarters in New York Calls for Action

Bareen Media – The United States chapter of the Pashtun Tahafuz Movement (PTM) held a protest outside the United Nations headquarters in Manhattan, New York, raising concerns about the situation in Afghanistan and Pakistan’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.

Protesters condemned what they described as Pakistani airstrikes in Afghanistan and the killing of civilians. They also accused Pakistan of carrying out what they called genocide against Pashtuns in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

The demonstrators also called for an end to restrictions on girls’ education in Afghanistan and demanded the immediate release of detained members of the PTM.

PTM leader Manzoor Pashteen addressed the protesters and spoke about the situation in Afghanistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

The protest took place as world leaders and officials gathered in New York for the United Nations General Assembly, bringing the protesters’ demands to the attention of the international community.
