{"id":1826,"date":"2026-10-02T00:05:47","date_gmt":"2026-10-02T00:05:47","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/bareenmedia.com\/en\/?p=1826"},"modified":"2026-10-02T00:05:50","modified_gmt":"2026-10-02T00:05:50","slug":"man-charged-after-woman-allegedly-sexually-assaulted-in-sydney-park","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/bareenmedia.com\/en\/blog\/2026\/10\/02\/man-charged-after-woman-allegedly-sexually-assaulted-in-sydney-park\/","title":{"rendered":"Man Charged After Woman Allegedly Sexually Assaulted in Sydney Park"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Bareen Media <\/strong>&#8211; A 27-year-old man has been charged after a 23-year-old woman was allegedly restrained and sexually assaulted in a park in Sydney\u2019s west.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">NSW Police said the woman was walking from Flemington Station through Airey Park in Homebush at about 11:15 pm on September 18 when she was allegedly stopped by an unknown man and dragged into nearby bushland.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Police said the woman reported the incident shortly afterwards, prompting an investigation by Auburn Police Area Command and the State Crime Command\u2019s Sex Crimes Squad under Strike Force Januzi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Following inquiries, detectives executed a search warrant at a property in Padstow on Thursday morning and arrested the man. Police also seized several items for forensic examination.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The man was charged with aggravated sexual assault causing actual bodily harm, intentionally choking a person without consent, taking a person with intent to commit a serious indictable offence, and stalking or intimidation with intent to cause fear of physical harm.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He was refused bail and is due to appear before Bankstown Local Court.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Bareen Media &#8211; A 27-year-old man has been charged after a 23-year-old woman was allegedly restrained and sexually assaulted in a park in Sydney\u2019s west.
