Tehran said the Strait of Hormuz could be reopened within seven days if the proposed conditions were met.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Trump said on Saturday that he had rejected the proposal, arguing that Iran was seeking an immediate agreement to reopen the strait because of the pressure it is facing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Araghchi said, however, that mediators had not yet formally informed Tehran of a US rejection.
