Guterres: How We Use Power Will Shape Humanity’s Future
UN Secretary-General António Guterres says the world’s future will depend on how humanity chooses to use power.
In remarks linked to the opening of the 81st UN General Assembly, Guterres said real power is not about controlling others, but about building a future that benefits everyone.
He highlighted war, inequality, climate change, and artificial intelligence as major challenges facing the world and called for stronger international cooperation to address them.
Guterres said governments and societies must use power responsibly and remain committed to building a safer and more inclusive future for all.
