UN Launches Joint Initiative to Expand Afghan Women’s Access to Finance

The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and UN Women in Afghanistan have launched a joint initiative to support women running micro and small businesses.

The organisations said on Sunday, September 27, on their X account that the initiative aims to make it easier for women to access financial resources.

Under the programme, women running small businesses can use the initiative to access the financing they need and expand their economic activities.

The United Nations says the initiative is being implemented jointly by UNDP and UN Women in Afghanistan.

Through the launch of the programme, the UN is focusing on expanding access to financial resources for women running small businesses across Afghanistan.
