Hamid Karzai Condemns Pakistan’s Airstrikes on Kunar and Helmand

Former Afghan President Hamid Karzai has condemned recent Pakistani airstrikes on parts of Kunar and Helmand provinces.

In a post on X, Karzai said the attacks violated Afghanistan’s territory and sovereignty. He called on Islamabad to replace hostile policies with engagement based on good neighbourly relations and a peaceful approach.

His comments came after last night’s airstrikes in parts of Afghanistan, which Afghan officials said also caused civilian casualties. Pakistan has said it targeted positions of armed groups. Independent verification of the details and reported casualties has not been completed.
