Three Children Die After Falling into Deep Well in Kandahar

Three children have died after falling into a deep water well in Maiwand district of Kandahar province, local sources said.

The incident occurred in the Sang-e Nigar area of the district. The victims were identified as Dadullah, 9, Habibullah, 8, and Farzia, 6. They were the children of Khairullah, a farmer originally from Zabul province.

In recent months, numerous people, including children, have lost their lives in accidents across Afghanistan. Incidents involving deep wells and unsecured water sources highlight ongoing concerns about public safety and the need for preventive measures to protect children.

Poorly secured wells pose a serious risk, particularly in rural areas where children may be exposed to dangerous water sources.
